Forum for Environmental Volunteering Activity

FEVA is a network of national not-for-profit organisations that seeks to share information and best practice across the field of environmental volunteering. It aims to identify themes of common interest across the environmental volunteering sector and promote areas for partnership working. Capitalising on members’ shared expertise and experience, the aim of FEVA is to create a vibrant culture of environmental volunteering in Scotland.

FEVA members meet up to four times a year. Each meeting includes a formal presentation from either a FEVA member or an external expert to ensure each meeting offers members value.

FEVA is supported by The Scottish Government.

Volunteer Management Development Project

In January Julia Duncan started as Volunteer Management Development Officer (VMDO) as part of the BTCV Life Skills Team and based in the Stirling Office. The VMDO post has been specifically funded by the Scottish Government through the Forum for Environmental Volunteering Activity (FEVA) to develop a framework that supports those that manage environmental volunteering activities and enables further opportunities for environmental volunteering across the sector.

The VMD Project aim is to provide a high quality experience for all environmental volunteers across Scotland through the development of a national training programme and the promotion of a range of learning opportunities for environmental volunteer managers.

FEVA Membership

Membership of FEVA is open to all not-for-profit organisations with an involvement or interest in environmental volunteering at a national level.
