Change: Engage your volunteers with Climate Change
Research tells us that the adoption of environmentally friendly behaviour significantly increases with the length of time participants volunteer on environmental projects. It‚s also recognised that voluntary sector organisations have a key role to play in mobilising people to take individual action on Climate Change.
Change is a free programme of training and support designed by the Forum for Environmental Volunteering Activity to help environmental volunteering groups and organisations of all sizes to engage people to take action on Climate Change in their own lives.
Between June 2010 and July 2011, we're bringing together the expertise of leading practitioners working in the field of pro-environmental behaviour change to train and support up to 20 environmental volunteering groups and organisations to develop and deliver behaviour change programmes with their volunteers. Going Carbon Neutral Stirling, Footprint consultants, Scottish Education and Action for Development, Changeworks and BTCV will be sharing their experience, skills and tools in this unprecedented and comprehensive programme.
